_ **New text tool.**_ If you click on the _Text_ tool found at the upper right of the Edit toolbox, the following menu choices appear:
* **Align Text to Page**. The default behavior is to align the text to the left side of the page in portrait orientation. Click on the drop-down menu to change to landscape, which is what most designers usually want.
* **Position Text**. Move the text in the document as you’d move a drawing. This is similar to when you drag a layer or move a layer with the selection tool.
* **Line Style**. Choose solid, dashed, dotted, or a gradient. The gradient in this menu applies the selected line style to all of the text on the page. If you don’t see the gradient option on your text tool, try clicking on the triangle to the right of the _Text_ tool. This opens the _Text Options_ dialog box with the gradient option active.
* **Fill Type**. Use this to define which type of text color to use when you type in the document. The options are Solid, Gradient, Gradient Fill, and Gradient Drop Shadow.
* **Text Size**. At the top of the text tool is a drop-down menu that allows you to set the font size as you’d normally type into a word processor.
* **Font**. Each text tool includes a drop-down menu that allows you to select a font family. The default is Arial. You can select a different font family from the dialog box that opens.
As you may have guessed, some of these menu items have more elaborate settings. The bottom of the _Text_ tool dialog box (Figure 2-6) includes a toolbox with settings that enable you to select the following options:
* **Interline Spacing**. This setting determines the number of spaces between lines of type. Designers often start with a value of 0.75 to get some white space between lines of text on the page. However, if you need to insert special characters or add a photo or logo, you may need to adjust this setting.
Figure 2-6. To adjust the interline spacing in Photoshop, click the small triangle to the right of the _Text_ tool in the Edit toolbox. This opens a dialog box that can let you adjust the interline spacing as well as determine the

Welcome to our comprehensive Photoshop Elements 20 guide, which is one of the most popular online photo editing and design tool as of 2019.
The software is relatively new compared to other popular image editing tools. It was first released in 2008, while more than 10 years have passed since then.
As a free and open-source solution, Photoshop Elements tends to be more developer-friendly. The graphic design community has a big influence on the creation of the software. The low price, easy use, and tight integration with other Adobe apps make it a great alternative to the more costly Photoshop CC.
In the following tutorial, we will show you how to use Photoshop Elements 20 to edit and create image and videos. We will not review the software in-depth. Most of you have some idea about it after using it to cut out or clip out parts of images, adding filters and effects, and adding text.
However, we will demonstrate the full-power of Photoshop Elements in this tutorial. We will take you through the basic steps and the features of the software.
Stay tuned for more free software reviews and tutorials including: Affinity Photo, GIMP, Lightroom, and more!
I used Photoshop Elements 20.1 on Windows 7 and Windows 10.
You can follow along with this tutorial even if you are using Photoshop Elements 16, Photoshop Elements 18, Photoshop Elements 19 or Photoshop CC.
Here are the recommended system requirements:
Windows OS: Windows XP SP2, Vista, Win 7 or Windows 10
CPU: Dual core 2.0GHz
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Drive Space: 4GB available space
Internet Connection: You need to have a good Internet connection to download the Adobe Photoshop Elements software. If you don’t have a broadband or a 4G connection, you can still use some free software alternatives. But keep in mind that some of them might not offer as many features as Photoshop Elements.
Step 1: Download the Photoshop Elements software
The minimum recommended version of the Adobe Photoshop Elements 20 is the free version.
You can download it for free on the Adobe website. When you download it, you might get a warning that the software is only for “personal and non-commercial use.”
Read the following free alternatives if you wish to use Photoshop Elements as a replacement for Photoshop CC.

“This is the problem with internet banking. Most accounts are already linked to a debit card. Why would anyone spend money on a new card?”
Ah, yes. The conundrum. Most people I know prefer to use their debit card over internet banking. Many actually avoid internet banking because they just don’t trust it.
That’s the problem.
The majority of people still use whatever payment method they prefer to use at any particular time. The reasons are many, but I’m going to focus on two: security and convenience.
Why internet banking is still insecure
Internet banking is one of the most insecure banking methods. Like they say, there is no such thing as 100% security in any system. There are however, ways to increase the security of your internet banking.
Your online banking security depends on three things:
How secure is internet banking? I’ll explain each one of these briefly.
Access to your account can be obtained with one of several factors. This is commonly referred to as the Account Access Factor (AAF) and varies from bank to bank. If your bank is part of a group/system such as ANZ, this is known as an AAF.
This is the account number and password. Some banks do require you to change this password periodically or even regularly, while others don’t.
How secure is it? It’s better than nothing, but you still have to be vigilant about security. If someone gains access to your AAF account, they’ll have your account details and your credentials. So if they miss you on your birthday, or they want to get into your savings, they’ll have your credit card number.
I’m going to leave recovery for another article, but what about the reset factor? Let’s say you’ve lost or forgotten your AAF and forgotten your password. If you call your bank and explain your situation, they can ask you to temporarily change your password, using their security system. It’s not very secure, but for those times when you’ve either forgotten your AAF, your password or even your phone is off – it’s a great backup.

There are two types of brushes:
The default set of brushes, created with Adobe’s own graphics program, CorelDraw. The default brushes also include the Pen Tool, the Brush tool, the Paint Bucket, the Eraser, the Lasso tool, and Freeform selections.
The Pattern brushes, made in the online Adobe website. Most of the brushes in this section are made using an online pattern-making program, such as Brushes or Adobe’s own online graphics tools.

The Gradient tool
This tool allows you to create and alter a textured gradient pattern. You can alter a gradient’s color, strength, or its direction. You can also drag the gradient across an image or its path. This can be used for texturing, a background, or any other effect.
