War, persecution or displacement have forced people to flee to safe countries. Often alone and without contact with their families or friends, they have to find their way in a foreign environment and culture. The Asylum Working Group wants to help with this.
With the Café International, refugees should on the one hand be able to network with each other and on the other hand be able to establish contacts with the local population. You can talk and get to know each other over coffee and cake. With the exception of Saturday, September 3, 2022, the Café International takes place on the first Saturday of every month at 3 p.m. in the Albert-Schweitzer-Saal of the Evangelisches Gemeindehaus in Haerterichstr. 18 instead.

The language learning app Jicki now offers free online language courses German-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-German. The courses can be used without registration directly on the website as well as in the associated app.

Telekom provides refugees from Ukraine with SIM cards with unlimited data volume free of charge. This can also be used to make phone calls free of charge. One card is provided per person. A Ukrainian identity document must be presented in order to receive them.
